Convert files to PDF

PDF is the format most forms, schools and offices ask for, because it looks the same on every screen and printer. These converters turn photos, screenshots and text files into a PDF in a few seconds. They run in your browser, so personal photos and documents are never uploaded.

Which converter should I use?

Phone photos taken on an iPhone are usually HEIC files, so use HEIC to PDF. Other photos are often JPG, which JPG to PDF takes. Screenshots are often PNG. For writing, use Markdown to PDF for notes written in Markdown and HTML to PDF for web pages you saved as a file.

Can I put several photos into one PDF?

Yes. Add as many images as you need, drag them into order, and they become one PDF with one image per page. You can pick the page size (A4, Letter, or each page sized to its photo) and the margins.

How do I keep the PDF small enough to upload to a form?

Some job, visa and exam portals limit uploads to sizes such as 100 KB, 200 KB or 1 MB. The image converters have a target size box: type the limit and the tool lowers the photo quality step by step until the PDF fits, then shows you the final size.

Will the text in my PDF be searchable?

Text from Markdown, HTML and plain text files stays real, selectable text. A photo of a page is still a picture inside the PDF, so its words cannot be searched or copied until it goes through OCR (text recognition). OCR PDF adds that text layer in your browser.
