Type your headline and details straight onto the flyer, add a photo and a QR code, and print it, with tear-off tabs if people should take your number.

How do I make a flyer?

Pick a design and color, then type a short headline that says what it is, such as Yard Sale or Piano Lessons. Add a line or two of detail, the when and where, a call to action, and how to reach you. Add a photo or a QR code if it helps, then download the PDF and print it.

  1. Choose a design and color.
  2. Type the headline and a line under it.
  3. Fill in the details: when, where, cost.
  4. Add a call to action, contact, photo, QR code or tabs.
  5. Download the PDF and print.

What makes a good flyer?

One message people can read from a few steps away: a short, large headline, the key details, and one clear thing to do next, such as call, scan or visit. Wikipedia describes a flyer as a paper advertisement meant for wide distribution, often posted in public places, so the top third should make sense at a glance.

What are tear-off tabs on a flyer?

They are strips along the bottom edge, each printed with your phone number, email or website, cut apart so people can tear one off. On the Bulletin design, tick Tear-off tabs, type the text, and choose 4 to 12 tabs. After printing, cut along the dashed lines between tabs, stopping at the line across the top.

What size is a flyer?

In the US a full-page flyer is Letter size, 8.5 by 11 inches, and a half-page flyer is half letter, 5.5 by 8.5 inches. Elsewhere the matching ISO sizes are A4 (210 by 297 mm) and A5 (148 by 210 mm). This maker prints Letter or A4, and also saves square and story pictures for social media.

For a post or a story, choose Square post or Story next to Picture (.png). The flyer is centered on a background in your flyer's color, at 1080 pixels wide.

Limits

  • One page, one photo (plus a round headshot on Photo Cover). It is a flyer maker, not a full design editor.
  • Letter or A4 for print; no half-page or poster sizes yet. Pictures come as the whole page, a square post or a story.
  • No full-bleed print file. Words and art stay at least a quarter inch from the edge of the page, so a home printer prints them whole and a print shop can print the PDF as it is.
  • Each design has its own fonts. You choose the design and the color, not the typeface.
